Geoff Manville is a principal and leader of the government relations team at Mercer’s Washington Resource Group (WRG). The WRG is a national legal resource for Mercer consultants and clients on legislative and regulatory developments; tax, ERISA, retirement, Medicare, employment law, compensation, and other federal and state law and compliance issues. Geoff represents Mercer and Mercer clients in Congress and before executive branch agencies and works in concert with WRG experts in tracking and analyzing human resources and employee benefits policy developments. Before joining Mercer, Geoff was director of membership & communications at The ERISA Industry Committee (ERIC), the Washington-based association representing the employee benefit interests of major employers. Earlier, Geoff worked for the RIA Group, where he served as editor for several publications covering ERISA and tax issues and related legislative and regulatory developments. He also served as director of special projects for a political consulting firm, developing and executing government and public relations strategies for a wide range of clients. Geoff holds a BA degree in political science from The George Washington University.
