John Schubert is a Specialist Leader for Deloitte Consulting, LLP and has over 40 years of professional actuarial and consulting experience as a health actuary with his main focus being retiree health and welfare benefits. John has served on the Board of Directors of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries (2003-2006 and 2008-2016), including President (2013-2014) and on the Board of the American Academy of Actuaries (2002-2005, 2006-2008, 2009-2014). He has also served as a Trustee of The Actuarial Foundation from 2011 through 2017 and currently serves as an Emeritus Trustee. John is Chair of the Actuarial Board for Counseling and Discipline (“ABCD”). John is a 2008 distinguished alumni of the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley and the recipient of the 2023 Jarvis Farley Service Award for outstanding volunteerism from the American Academy of Actuaries. John is a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in actuarial science and risk and insurance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
