Member Profile

Karl Madrecki is a Senior Actuary at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. His experience has included a diversity of operating, actuarial, marketing, and management responsibilities in the health insurance industry. In his current role, Karl interacts with the 39 independent Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans that collectively provide healthcare coverage for almost 100 million members in the United States. Karl is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Karl is currently serving on the Academy Health Practice Council, Federal Health Committee, and Regulatory Capital Requirements/Solvency Task Force. He has previously served on the Academy Board of Directors.
