Douglas J. Fiddler, FCA, MAAA, ASA, EA Doug Fiddler joined the South Dakota Retirement System (SDRS) as a Senior Actuary in 2014. Prior to that, he worked as a consulting actuary for Buck Consultants in Denver and McCready and Keene in Indianapolis. Doug currently serves as the internal actuary for SDRS. As such, he prepares annual valuations, cost studies, experience studies and fiscal impact statements. In addition, he works with system staff, the Board of Trustees and outside consultants on various administration and plan design issues. In his prior role, he consulted with numerous state and local pension plans as well as private sector pension sponsors. Doug has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Wheaton College. He is a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary.
