Harlan M. Weller, MAAA, FSA, EA is the Actuary in the Office of Tax Policy at the U.S. Treasury Department. He works on all legislative and regulatory matters affecting employee benefits, focusing primarily on qualified retirement plans. Harlan is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Member of the Academy of Actuaries, and an Enrolled Actuary. Before coming to Treasury in 1990, he was a consulting actuary with the Wyatt Company in San Francisco. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of California.
