Tom Macaluso is a Vice President and Actuary at USI Consulting Group, and the Church Plan Practice Leader. In that capacity he is responsible for the relationship and project management for more than 25 church plan clients that have defined benefit and defined contribution plans. Currently, he also manages an actuarial team as well as the marketing team for the Church Plan Practice. He manages and consults with many of USI Consulting Group’s largest defined benefit clients and is also responsible for new business development. Tom has over 30 years of experience in the actuarial field. The actuarial projects that the team is responsible for include preparation of actuarial funding valuations as well as computing pension expense and disclosure information in accordance with Financial Accounting Standards Codification Topic 715. In addition, he specializes in retirement plan consulting, and more specifically total retirement design studies. The clients range in size from under 100 to over 40,000 participants. Tom graduated from Villanova University with a B.S. degree in Mathematics. He is an Enrolled Actuary authorized to practice before the Internal Revenue Service and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
