Max is a credentialed actuary and private investor, active in the ALM and ERM space for many years. He teaches an ERM course at both Creighton University and the University of Nebraska. His research topics include emerging risks, ALM, low economic growth, pandemics, climate change, systemic risk, foresight, demographics, investment strategy and interest rate volatility. He served on the SOA Board of Governors and as Investment Section Chair.
He co-hosts the Crossing Thin Ice podcast, with over 60 topics covered so far, and his essays can be found on Substack.
