Ted Law leads pricing activities for RGA’s Institutional Markets businesses, including Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) in both the U.S. and Canada. RGA successfully entered the PRT market in 2022 and won the Pension Risk Transfer Innovation Award from InsuranceERM in 2023 along with Legal and General Retirement America. Ted leads the team responsible for the modeling, risk assessment, and assumption setting for new business PRT. Ted is also currently a member of the American Academy of Actuaries' Pension Committee. Before joining RGA, Ted played a key role in enhancing the pricing and valuation approaches to support AIG’s pursuit of large and complex PRT transactions in both the U.S. and the U.K. In addition, Ted advised AIG’s internal defined benefit plan in its actuarial judgments and funding strategy. Ted began his career as a retirement consulting actuary for Willis Towers Watson. Ted holds a B.S. in Actuarial Science from Brigham Young University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), an Enrolled Actuary (EA), and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
