Mr. Price joined Axene Health Partners, LLC in February, 2004 following a successful career in the managed care industry. Mr. Price held executive level positions including Chief Actuary at Kaiser Permanente, Intermountain Health Care/Select Care, United Behavioral Health, Equitable Life & Casualty, and Blue Cross & Blue Shield plans. His experience includes extensive actuarial and management involvement with vertically integrated health care organizations and includes independent consulting services to select health care providers and managed care organizations including Medicare Advantage Plans (MAPD), Medicaid HMOs, commercial HMOs/PPOs/EPOs, behavioral health plans, ACOs, and self-funded health plans. He has lead medical economics, data analytics and management. His experience includes provider network development and performance management, provider payment arrangements, value-based health care programs, risk management/analysis, actuarial model development, reinsurance arrangements, strategic pricing, and serves as an expert witness in health plan related litigation. He also has served as team lead actuary for a comprehensive long term care program. He is an active member of the American Academy of Actuaries, a fellow in the Conference of Consulting actuaries, and received the designation Qualified Health Actuary from the Society of Actuaries. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington with an emphasis in mathematical statistics.
