John Schubert is a Specialist Leader for Deloitte Consulting, LLP and has over 45 years of professional actuarial and consulting experience as a health actuary with his main focus being retiree health and welfare benefits.
John has served on the Board of Directors of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries (2003-2006 and 2008-2016), including President (2013-2014) and on the Board of the American Academy of Actuaries (2002-2005, 2006-2008, 2009-2014). He has also served as a Trustee of The Actuarial Foundation from 2011 through 2017 and an Emeritus Trustee from 2018-2024. John served five years on the Actuarial Board for Counseling and Discipline (“ABCD”) and is a former Chair. John is a 2008 distinguished alumni of the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley and the recipient of the 2023 Jarvis Farley Service Award for outstanding volunteerism from the American Academy of Actuaries and the Conference of Consulting Actuaries' 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award.
John is a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in actuarial science and risk and insurance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
