Kevin Tighe is a senior consulting actuary in Towers Watson’s Toronto office. He has more than 25 years of actuarial consulting experience. In addition to assisting clients with pension risk assessment and management, Kevin also has significant expertise in frozen-plan operational and financial management, Journey Planning, plan termination, annuity purchase and lump sum strategy development and implementation.
Kevin has also enjoyed the distinct honour of having worked with Dr. Harry Panjer at University of Waterloo where he researched the additional insurance company reserves required as a result if the world-wide proliferation of AIDS.
At Willis Towers Watson, Kevin consults to a number of major organizations as their lead actuary. Kevin was previously a member of various examination committees for the Society of Actuary (“SOA”) exams covering pension mathematics, pension accounting and investment theory.
Kevin is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. He graduated with distinction with an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics from University of Waterloo.
