Olineck
Director, Oregon PERS
Kevin Olineck was appointed Director of the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) on July 16, 2018. He also serves as an ex-officio member of the Oregon Investment Council.
As PERS’ Director, Olineck leads an organization of approximately 440 team members who administer one of the most complex public retirement systems in the country. PERS serves over 405,000 current and former public employees for over 900 public sector employers and pays out close to $0.5 billion in benefits each month ($6 billion per year). PERS provides, through a hybrid retirement plan model, both a defined benefit and defined contribution retirement benefit to members, along with an optional deferred compensation plan and retiree health benefits.
Prior to joining PERS, Olineck was a senior executive with British Columbia Pension Corporation as well as Alberta Pension Services, two of the largest public sector pension administrators in Canada. He has a degree in public administration from the University of Saskatchewan, a Certified Employees Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation, and an Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) designation.
