Dane Hansen is a Senior Consulting Actuary at Milliman, where he has worked since 2016, with a brief interlude as Director of Medical Cost Economics at UPMC Health Plan in 2023. His current work spans value-based care strategy and analytics for providers and health plans, including commercial and Medicare Advantage VBC design and performance, shared savings and risk arrangements, global budget design, risk adjustment strategy, episode payment modeling, and actuarial cost modeling for program evaluation. Earlier in his Milliman tenure, his work focused on ACA premium rate filings and healthcare claims analysis. Prior to Milliman, he held actuarial roles at Centene Corporation focused on marketplace exchange pricing and filing. Dane holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from DePaul University.
