Ryan Johnson is a Principal in Mercer’s Phoenix office and currently leads the risk adjustment efforts nationally within Mercer’s Government Human Services Consulting practice. Mercer has assisted over a dozen state Medicaid programs in implementing or maintaining some form of risk adjustment. Ryan has over 10 years of experience using health-based payment systems and applying risk adjustment techniques within public programs. He has also assisted a multitude of states in using risk adjustment techniques to evaluate underlying population acuity and health plan efficiency. Ryan received his Bachelor of Science and master’s degree in Public Administration from Brigham Young University.
