Sarah Wright is an actuary in Aon Hewitt’s New York office. In 2005, she opened the New York office of Chicago Consulting Actuaries and was a principal with CCA.
Sarah is an expert in actuarial consulting related to qualified and nonqualified plans, plan design, benefits issues in mergers and acquisitions, and coverage and nondiscrimination testing. In all, she has over 20 years of experience in the field of retirement consulting. Sarah has a particular specialty in consulting to partnerships regarding their retirement plans.
Prior to joining CCA, she spent seven years with a national actuarial consulting firm in New York, most recently as a senior vice president/ principal. She was responsible for managing client relationships, serving as the corporate retirement plan quality assurance officer and acting as the lead actuary for the company’s largest client.
Sarah graduated with honors from Wellesley College with a B.A. in mathematics. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.
Sarah’s professional activities include being a member of the Pension Liaison Group of the IRS Brooklyn Key District (1992-1998; 2009-present), being elected to the Society of Actuaries’ Pension Section Council (2001-2004, Chair 2003-2004), and serving on the American Academy of Actuaries’ Pension Committee (2005-current).
Sarah’s speaking engagements include the Northeast IRS Benefits Conference (committee chair 2010-present), Enrolled Actuaries’ Meeting, the Conference of Consulting Actuaries’ Annual Meeting, the Society of Actuaries Meetings, the American Bar Association Center for Continuing Legal Education, and the Massachusetts Bar Association Professional Education Program.
