José Luis Salas has been Senior Partner and President of Consultores Asociados de México, S.A., (Mexican affiliate of Buck Consultants) a pension and actuarial consulting firm, and of Lorant Martínez Salas y Cía, an insurance brokerage, since 1980. Mr Salas has 39 years’ professional experience in both actuarial and employee benefits consulting and 31 years’ experience of insurance broking. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Sciences from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superior de Monterrey. He also is fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries since 2003. From 1994 to 2004 was the Coordinator of the Mexican Committee for International Actuarial Practice and a Certified Expert of the Mexican Academy of Actuaries.
