		Thomas E. Getzen, emeritus Professor at Temple University, was the founder of iHEA-International Health Economics Association, its executive director for 22 years and instrumental in founding AfHEA-African Health Economics Association, ASHEcon-American Health Economics Association, and EUHEA – European Health Economics Association. He has been editor-in-chief for “HEN-Health Economics Network” at SSRN, associate editor for Health Economics, on the boards of large and small health care organizations, the Union of International Associations, and a member of the Institute of Medicine committee for the future of public health. His textbook Health Economics & Financing is currently in a 6th edition and used at universities around the world. For the last decade, Professor Getzen has produced a “Model of Long Run Medical Cost Trends” each year for the Society of Actuaries.   ###
