Minggang Chen is currently a Senior Actuarial consultant at Aetna, a CVS Health company. He joined Aetna in 2019 and is primarily focusing on predictive analytics, monthly reserves and reporting. He designed and built advanced analytical models, end user interfaces to automate the actuarial processes and support cross functional projects. He also provided python & machine learning modeling training across Aetna’s actuarial community and presented his modeling project on Aetna’s annual actuarial meeting.

Prior to joining Aetna, Minggang was a Neuroscientist at Yale University, where his research focused on understanding vision diseases through data driven approaches. He holds a doctoral degree in Neuroscience from the Chinese Academy of Science.

He currently lives in Farmington, CT, with his wife and two children. During his free time, he likes to play with his children, explore fancy stuff and watch NBA games.
