Various types of Accountable Care Organization (ACO) models like Aligned Incentive (Shared Savings) contracts, Physician-Hospital Organizations (PHOs), Independent Practice Associations (IPAs) and medical home models are reviewed. The presenters discuss what aspects of ACOs are important for success in terms of providing better quality care through care coordination and other means as well as reduced cost through waste reductions. Findings and experiences in different regions of the country as well as innovations and trends to be seen in the future are included.

The presenters will discuss methodologies being used by actuaries to evaluate ROI for these relatively new provider reimbursement strategies.
